29th September

Today has been boiling hot so when deciding what to wear to a meal out I had no idea.. I didnt want to just wear shorts but I wanted something that wouldn't mean my legs were enclosed like jeans or leggings because its just too closed but I did want something that looked more formal. So I decided on a long black vest from Primark for £1.50 which was a complete bargain! ... And it was tucked into a maxi skirt from Matalan for about £20 and has a very cool zip going up the back ... from about three quarters up the skirt to the waist band. Most people often mistake this outfit as a maxi dress eventhough it isnt. On top I have a little beige waistcoat from River Island for about £15/20 .., which is expensive but worth it because I can wear it with anything. On the back it has a lace detail and round the edges. But my favourite part of my outfit has to be my owl neclace from Accessorise that I splurged on for £12 and I also have matching earrings but I didnt wear them today. xo

25th September

I really like the military look that was very big last year and I really want it to come back! Although i am a very girly girl I do like the khaki colours and patterns and tailored styles... This is why I love this dress that I bought last year from Warhouse for about £30-40, I love the colour and the way it has differnt materials like lace to give the dress a more girly edge, and it has different layers and parts to it. It was originally a shift dress but I teamed it with a tan waistbelt that goes with the military colour scheme to add shape and make it more casual. Then put some black tights underneath from Primark for £2 to give a daytime look.

Unfortunately, unlike today on Sunday it was quite cold so I couldnt go out with sleeves like I would've been able to today... so I put on a short sleeved beige cooured cardigan from Primark for a few pounds that went perfectly with the other earthy tones I was wearing... and of course, put my new favourite piece of clothing on .. My new bodywarmer :) xo

23rd September :)

I wore this outfit to go out to Pizza Hut just for a casual meal. I'm wearing the cream jumper from Promark for £14 that I blogged about last week... Because it is a v neck I wore a red eat top under it that matched with the red 'A' on the left breast, which I borrowed from my mum. Also, I wore some jeggings from New Look for about £7.99 that matched with the navy stripes round the cuff, bottom and neck. My favourite part I probably my jeggings because they have all the colour and stitching of jeans but with the comfort of leggings. xo

22nd September :)

I wore this outfit to go see a friends show ... I love pretty much every part because its all very colourful and I think that just because its winter it doesn't mean everthing has to be drab and boring. The top is black with multicoloured birds on from Primark for only £6... it buttons up and has a peter pan collar. Its very on trend with the colour and the pattern, birds are everywhere right now... from accessories to clothing. Its tucked into an orange high waisted flouncy skirt from Miss Selfridge for about £25... It has a bow detail on the front and has loose pleats. I wore it with the top because the orange in the skirt really brings out the orange of the birds in the top. The cardigan is the one I blogged about last week from primark for £14 and the tights were £2 for Primark too. xo

Love&Hate

"One of the Boys" = Hate.

I know most people will disagree but I really dislike the whole 'masculinity, menswear for women' thing. Admittedly I love tailored blazers and brogues but I feel like full suits and shirts and masculine shaped clothing is taking it a step too far. I'm a girly girl at heart I'll admit and to me this is just like a boy wearing a skirt... I do like wearing shirts and blazers but all are fitted and tailored in pastel colours to give them a feminine feel.

With designers like: Paul Smith, Temperley, Nicole Farhi and Ralph Lauren and many more following this trend it makes me wonder what everyone is thinking lately. I love women's curves and think that if you have them then show them and if you don't make it look like you do... But I HATE baggy, oversized, unfitting clothes. I do have quite a few oversized tops but i balanced them out with a more fitted bottom half, e.g. high waisted shorts/skirts, leggings, skinny jeans. However, all I've been seeing is skinny models dressed in clothes that look like they're meant to be worn by broad, muscular men. I give some designers credit though as some pieces are tailored or fitted or have a cinched waist, which I like. So I do like some of this trend in a less masculine form that shows you that you are a woman instead of hiding it... but I know that I won't be dressing like a man anytime soon ... xo

Okay, so not only do I have an obsession with river island ... I also seem to have an obsession with faux fur! ... I really don't understand why but when I was looking on the app today I came across these and absolutely loved them! ... I'm really into chunky knits and thought they would match beautifully with my new socks and bodywarmer :) but my favourite part has to be the fact they're mittens ... I haven't had any since I was little bit the fact you can pull it back and they become fingerless interests me because as anyone with a touch screen phone knows its almost impossible to type with gloves on for some reason, so these would be perfect. They are quite expensive though for £13 but would definitely be a good investment for what looks like it's going to be a cold winter! :( plus, they come in red and blue too ... xo

All I see is fur!

I bought these over the knee socks on Thursday from River Island for £15 ... expensive for a pair of socks I know but, I absolutely love the faux fur trim and how at the back it laces up so can be adjusted to the size of your legs. Also, I had a £5 voucher for there aswell so I thought I might aswell use it. Unfortunately ... I have no idea what shoes I'm going to wear with them, I'm hoping to get some new long winter flat boots to go with them. 

This is my expensive splurge from my parents for doing really well in my exams and getting some awards from school. This bodywarmer from Hollister did cost my parents an extortionate amount of £86 ... But I absolutely adore the colour and fur trim round the hood that matches my new socks :) xx ... the dark navy colour makes it versatile and the fur trim adds a bit of glamour to an outfit and is very on trend now. 

Things like this and the socks with just a bit of fur is perfect if you are wanting to stay on trend but don't like the thought of fur coats and boots etc. xo

15th September :)

This is one of my most favourite outfits so far, another oversized crop top ... tucked in again to a high waisted skirt. I like the pattern with the four polaroid like photos which add a little colour to the outfit. Its from Topshop but I bought it like last year for about £25. I put  a black vest underneath because the top is slightly sheer, and tucked it into the skirt and pulled it over so it still had the oversized look. The skirt is the one I bought last week from Topshop from £25 with some black tights underneath ... the black and cream stripes match the top well and the way it is bodycon adds shape to the outfit to balance out the oversized top... xo

14th September :)

I wore this to go to Light Water Valley on Wednesday because its good for all weather and comfy to be going on and off rides in ... unlike a skirt which would just be an absolute pain. In the photo I'm wearing an oversized top from River Island for about £20-25 ... I'm not really sure because it was about April time when I bought it. I've tucked it in on this occasion but its a bit like a long crop top so finishes just about my hips and is very baggy so looks good when worn one shouldered. (Btw it says Bonjour if you were wondering) ... with it I'm wearing the shorts I blogged about last week from Primark for £12 and some black leggings because it was too cold for just tights ... xo

I love this metallic purple, leather woven, double wrap bracelet because its unlike usual pandora bracelets and could either be worn plain or with charms. My favourite colour is purple and I love bracelets so this is perfect for me ... its £45.

I also love this pandora bead for £35, I just like how its very pink and floral and would contrast with the bracelet but still look good.

This bead is also £35 and would match perfectly with the bracelet ... I also like how it is two toned purple which would really make it stand out. xo

Saturday night, I feel the air is getting hot, like you baby! (8)

I wore this to a friends birthday party last night and I only bought it a week or so ago.. Its from Lipsy and  cost me £55 which is alot I agree but ... I do really like the way it flatters my body and the bright colour. Im hopefully gunna wear it again and again because I do really like it... I also love the way the black elastic material ties around the body giving it shape. Its also a strapless but not a usual neckline, its not straight across or sweet heart. It starts low around my back and then comes up with a v shape cut out of the middle of the bust and I love the edginess of it.

And these are my brand new heels.. I bought them for my charity fashion show from Primark for £16 ... They are high and do hurt but you have to go through pain to look good, but my favourite part is how they are like peep toes boots... with tassles and studs which are perfect for winter. xo

Love&Hate

Leopard Print = Love <3 

Animal prints have always been big in fashion but leopard print has always been one less worn and used in fashion and possibly regarded as one print that isnt fashionable... but now thats all changed. Every shop I've been in recently I've seen leopard print and all over the designer runways. I have always liked leopard print and was very happy to find its acceptable and fashionable to wear these now...

I know they dont go together but they're both leopard print and I didnt want to take two photos... The top is semi sheer from Topshop for £32 and have a pocket on the left breast with a gold zip however I dont think it has alot of shape to it so I usually wear it tucked into a high waisted skirt or shorts. Also, my shorts are from Zara but it was quite a while ago so I dont remember how much it was. 

My gorgeous hat from River Island ... I cant remember exactly but I think it was about £17 but I'm not sure. I love how cute it is with the little ears and how it come down over your ears ... I love how fashionable it is and how it could easily hide a bad hair day and look amazing.

I love headbands and wear them all the time and when I saw this is Primark for £1.50 I just had to have it. It was a bargain and I knew I'd wear it all the time.. My favourite part is the big bow and it adds a little bit of character to any outfit.

Now for my designer treat... This was my most recent birthday present and was £350 from Vivienne Westwood and I love how the leopard print is not in your face and has sparkly pink all around it so its different to just normal leopard print. The shape of it is so different its definitely my favourite bag and I love it. xo

Yet another few dresses from River Island ... they are full of gorgeous stuff at the moment. I have to admit that dresses are definitely my favourite type of clothing because I'm the kind of girl who likes getting all dressed up with fancy dresses, shoes, accessories and doing all my hair and makeup.

This colour block maxi is on my wish list because eventhough I love maxis and how elegant but relaxed they can look I don't have many. I also really like the bandeau style of it which gives it a more relaxed tone like going for a meal on holiday because the colours would really make a tan look amazing ... or you could wear it out to a meal in town with a little denim jacket on top or to a party with some matching jewellery. I would suggest dangly earrings maybe feather ones with a bandeau top. Depending on the length shoes should be wedges or gladiators... the bottom should just touch the floor but not trail! that will look awful. For more petite girls people say maxis are a no no but really its just all about the length if its fits then it will make you look so much longer and taller... my mum is very small but has loads more maxis than me. And for £25 its a bargain.

This pink A-line dress is very 'in' right now because of the shape ... The 1950's are being relived in fashion, especially skirt wise and this one is on trend without looking old or frumpy.. its still modern because of the bodycon type top that accentuates the body's curves and the way the skirt steadily goes out is very flattering. Seeing as it is quite plain it can be dressed up or down with accessories and shoes but the colour is gorgeous. The hot pink pops on any skin tone.. even better if you've just come off holiday and have that sun kissed look. I've seen plenty of girls wearing this sort of thing but this is by far the nicest one I've seen yet. But it depends how much you're willing to spend on a dress and how much you'll wear it ... £35 should be wisely spent. xo

I love this red Grecian dress for many reasons ... The main one being the colour, I absolutely love red especially this shade. Plus, this season is all about red, White and black so it's not just a summer dress but an autumn one too. My next reason is that underneath it is a plain dress but then it has two pieces of chiffon draping either side with a gold belt around the waist which is very flattering and very modern goddesslike. However, it is quite expensive for £60 but if you're looking for a dress that you can wear to any occasion this is a good investment ... For a more dressy look add lots of metallic hold accessories and some heels ... For a more casual gold or black flats with minimal jewellery. xo

My small scarf obsession ...

Here are my most worn scarfs ... the prices range from about £2 ... to £140. The top left is my snood from warehouse for about £18 I think, the next is my juicy couture scarf that came with matching gloves for about £88 from Harvey Nichols ... its all folded in the photo but it is actually very long and I have to wrap it round my neck many times so its not too long. The purple pashmina I got on holiday once for about £2 and is two toned and eventhough you cant see it in the photo it has flowers and butterflies embroidered into it. I also have a silk scarf from malaysia which was handmade there. Then theres my fake Alexander Mcqueen (the red and white one) that I got from Arc for about £15 and then theres my real one which is pastel pink and green which I bought for £140 from Harvey Nichols. One of my most recent is my louis vuitton pink leopard print scarf that was a present so I dont know the price. The multicoloured pashmina is also from my holiday like the purple one for £2... and my newest scarf I blogged about the other day from the charity fashion show. xo

This one I'm not too sure of ... Tried it on last week in River Island after my boyfriend chose it for me but I'm not sure whether it's right for me. It's £40 and is very on trend right now ... With the peter pan collar and polka dot blouse ... It's a playsuit but does look very much like a blouse and shorts ... It also has a pussycat bow that ties around the waist that you can't see very well on the photo. Also it has a cute ornate button up feature on the back. xo

Can Charity Shops actually be fashionable??

Heres my answer: ... YES.

Recently, I modelled for a friend's fashion show for charity (PDSA) and all the clothing came from the shop they worked in ... and to my surprise I liked all my outfits and ended up buying some of mine and the other models outfits for a stupidly low price... One of my purchases I've already blogged about in 'Last Friday Night!(8)' but here are my others...

I have already blogged about my scarf obsession and as soon as I saw my friend wearing this I knew I had to have it so as soon as she took it off I took it to the till... and it was only £2 :) The thing that made me want it was the colours ... the orange red and yellow really show up on the dark background and is perfect for autumn. 

I also bought this dress for £3 that I modelled because I like the polka dots and eventhough its old its very on trend.. another thing I like is the braiding effect around the elbows and waist which is on trend with the peek a boo effect without being full on cutouts. Plus the label says its from zara so it really was a bargain. 

This tribal print tube dress only cost me £3 and it was a dress I modelled in the show... the thing I like most is the bright colours and different design and the fact that its strapless which make it perfect for a summer party. 

These are the badges that were sold at the fashion show for £1 each and I bought both colours because I thought they were really cute and would look nice on a jacket... especially the pink sparkly one but mainly because its for charity. xo

Going out for a meal with the family ... Jeans and top both from River Island but are quite old so I can't remember how much. Also, the new cardigan I blogged about yesterday from Primark for £14. My favourite part is the top because it has a low crossover effect that's different and unlike anything else I have.

Just downloaded the River Island app for iPhone and it's amazing ... Well formatted, just like the website but better ... And you can have easy access to a little online shopping at any time :) it's layout is simple letting you preview the clothes and the price and if you're interested in something ... Then a closer look and more information is just a tap away ... Making it alot less clogged than the actual website with easier access. Also, there's even a wishlist so you can add things and quickly look at them later without having to scroll again through loads of stuff you don't want ... And with River Island being one of my favourite shops it's definitely going to be one of my most used apps, already seen plenty I'll be uploading onto my wishlist here :) xo

Brand New! :D

I bought this new high waisted bodycon skirt from Topshop on Friday for £25... and yeah, I know it is quite expensive but it is from Topshop and I loved the way it actually fitted me properly unlike most of my clothes that when I get them home just don't look right. I like the stripes instead of just blocked colour meaning i can wear it with more clothes. I think it would either look best with a top tucked in like in this photo or with a baggier crop top thrown over for a more casual look ... I really like bodycon skirts because they accentuate my curves to give me a more hourglass figure instead of looking boyish and straight up and down.

These plaid high waisted shorts from Primark for £12 are perfect for winter with a pair of thick tights... If  you want to be on trend but feel like plaid jackets and coats are too old for you then wide leg shorts with a belt to cinch the waist are young and fashionable and also help give you that sought after hourglass figure. 

All American Retro

I love the old time American look with the baseball jackets, knitted jumpers and oversized lettering from varsity jerseys... which is why I love my new purchases from Primark and was very glad to find that they'd come back this winter...

This long cable knit jumper is very American retro with the large red felt 'A' on the left breast and would go perfectly with a pair of leggings or some skinny jeans.  I like this for winter because its very fashionable but warm ... and for £14 its definitely worth it. 

This picture isn't too good to show this cardigan but ... its black with a plunged v-neck that fastens around my mid-stomach but my favourite part is definitely the gold sequinned 'H' because it adds a bit of style to a simple cardigan... Also £14 from Primark. I guess I like it because although it is simple it can go with everything ... 

5th September :)

Todays outfit ... The cropped shirt is new from Topshop for £26 with a long black vest underneath from Primark for £1.50 and some grey leggings. I bought the shirt because I like how its ties into a knot at the bottom tightening around the waist and the colours in it are still bright without being too summery. 

P.s. if you are conscious about your stomach or its cold out then putting a little vest underneath a crop top means you can still wear it no matter what.

This bracelet is my favourite part of the outfit because it does not only match the colours of my top perfectly, it is also very different and unique.

Last Friday Night! (8)

I wore this to a friend's party on Friday with some little black ballet shoes. I'd got the high waisted skirt the wednesday before from the same friend's fashion show for only £3! ... The fashion show was for charity and the skirt had been donated to a charity shop before I bought it. The lace top is from Arc for about £10 and I borrowed the orange vest underneath from my mum. My favourite part of the outfit is my new skirt because I love how the pleating and high waist gives it a more retro look that's still very fashionable and wearable. The only problems I had were how short the shirt was and that you can only wear a top tucked into the skirt because it's high waisted ... xo

Found these black sequin-covered Ugg boots in Kurt Geiger and fell in love with them instantly, they're glamourous and practical! If you're sick of winter making you look boring, plain or drab then in my opinion these are perfect! :) xo

P.s. as for the cost unfortunately I don't remember ... all I'll say is they are Ugg boots.
